We were honored to attend the Women in Aviation Week event, hosted by Crane Aerospace & Electronics, on Friday, March 6th. We heard from retired astronaut Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger, as well as from four other panelists, about their journeys.

We learned about various manufacturing processes, interesting products, and the incredible amounts of testing that their products are subject to. We got to witness a machine that auto-places components onto circuit boards at speeds of 14-28 components every single second, as well as a building specifically designed to mitigate the effects of explosions.
This opportunity allowed our members to see some possible career paths, and the best ways to get there. Thanks so much, Crane AE!
